Life brings challenges—but how youth respond can make all the difference. Our Rising Strong course equips youth with powerful tools to confidently face setbacks, build resilience, and advocate for themselves effectively.

What Participants Will Learn:
- Ways to strengthen self-esteem and self-advocacy.
- How to handle setbacks and negative feedback constructively.
- Strategies for confidently interacting with peers and authority figures.
- Proven techniques to build emotional resilience.

Sample Course Modules:
Pathfinders (8–12 years old)
- Communicating with Confidence: Through role-playing and group activities, children learn clear, respectful communication and ways to express their feelings confidently.
- Understanding Challenges: Participants explore feelings through creative storytelling and interactive discussions, helping them identify emotions and positive responses to challenges.
Trailblazers (13–18 years old)
- Building Emotional Resilience: Teens create a personalized resilience toolkit, learning actionable techniques for handling stress, criticism, and setbacks effectively.
- Self-Worth and Advocacy: Participants define their personal values and strengths, creating advocacy action plans for confidently navigating future interactions and challenges.

Project: “My Rising Story” (Silver Leaf of Resilience)
Objective:
Participants will reflect on a past or current challenge and demonstrate how they applied the lessons from the course to grow stronger. They will present their journey in a creative format that shows their resilience, communication growth, and self-worth.
For Pathfinders (Ages 8–12):
🔸 Project Title: “I Kept Going!”
- Format Options: Illustrated storybook page, simple poster, or short video clip (with adult help if needed).
- Content:
- A challenge they’ve faced (real or imagined).
- How they responded to it using what they learned.
- A sentence or phrase about what makes them proud of themselves now.
- Bonus: They write or draw a “Courage Card” with their own resilience tip to encourage another Pathfinder.
For Trailblazers (Ages 13–18):
🔹 Project Title: “My Rising Moment”
- Format Options: Personal essay, digital slideshow, visual journal, spoken-word piece, or short video.
- Content:
- A personal story involving a setback, a difficult authority figure, or a challenge with self-worth.
- How they applied course concepts like E+R=O, communication strategies, or personal advocacy.
- Reflection: What they learned about themselves and how they’ve grown stronger.
- Bonus: Include one actionable piece of advice they would give to someone going through something similar.
Awarding the Silver Leaf of Resilience:
- After completing their project, each participant is honored in a small ceremony or celebration circle.
- They receive a digital Silver Leaf, symbolizing their growth in resilience and courage. Youth collect these leaves for gifts of achievement!
